Curriculum/Key Learning Areas
We are currently reviewing our school curriculum and beginning a process of consultation with our whanau and community to ensure that we develop a curriculum that is responsive to the needs of our students, whanau and the community.
Being a rural school but in close proximity to Masterton allows us to make the best of both town and country learning opportunities.
Our students have great respect for the outdoor environment which means we will continue to focus on sustainability and environmental awareness , along with the other key curriculum areas of literacy and numeracy.
Opportunities for leadership and extension are provided to our students through activities like Rural Kids, Sports Teams and Activities, Education Outside the Classroom experiences, as well as through REAP in Masterton which facilitate activities like Nga Tamatoa, Poi Porotiti and the Wairarapa Schools Art Display.
